Paul Konerko who was hit by a pitch from Red Sox’s Miller in his left knee was hoping to only sit out one game. When X-rays came back negative the White Sox dubbed the injury as a “hit to the calf”, but the White Sox still missed him not only Monday but Tuesday leading to another loss. Konerko gave up five games due to a sprained right knee in 2008. He hopes he will not be out that long. On the other hand, he said he ‘‘can’t imagine taking a swing now.’’ We’ll find out tonight if he is up for beating the Yankees.


The White Sox are now 3rd in the AL Central. We are still stunned how the Tigers are leading the way but we are still ready to rally, Konerko is imperative though. Konerko leads the team with a .305 batting average and 25 home runs this season. Hopefully he can get what he needs to hit big tonight!
